Summer! It’s here! Finally!
And what more fitting activity could there be than a trip to your friendly local community market where you’ll find food, drink, shopping and, crucially, ice-cream.
As ever, you’ll find some of your weekly shop at the market this Saturday, with cheese, eggs and butter from Winter Tarn, rare breed meats from Savin Hill, tea from TigerTea, Italian wine and olive oil from VinoBuono, pies and pasties from HMPasties, soaps, shampoos and other bathroom products from Forever Planet and microgreens, culinary mushrooms and edible flowers from Seed Urban Farm.
And you’ll also find secondhand books from Bopcap Books, vintage homewares and kitchenalia from Six Boxes, hand-poured candles from Levenshulme’s very own Cedar, fresh meadow bouquets from Florence in Flowers and loads of other things.
And this weekend’s sweet treats come to you in the form of chocolate brownies from Lush Brownies, cakes and bakes from The Vet Who Bakes, and the all-important ice cream from Ginger’s Comfort Emporium.
For lunch, you’ll find pizzas from Cibus, burgers from Food Rebels, Sri Lankan food from The Sri Lankan Experience and a whole load more.
And REMEMBER, while hospitality may be opening up, for the time being we’re still being cautious and running things with our Shop & Go model, which means a one-in-one-out system for customers. Please follow our guidelines below, avoid eating, drinking or congregating when you visit and then exiting with your purchases so other can enter and enjoy the market.
