Our new kids club – Nature Explorers! 11am-1pm
It’s back for a second outing after a fantastic debut in March – our very own nature club here at Levy Market. Hands-on interaction with nature and the seasons through craft, gardening skills and sensory exploration for children of all ages – all for just £1 a child.
As if this wasn’t exciting enough for the little ones, John Pindar Arts will be on hand with his printmaking kit. Just £1 a child to create a colourful printed masterpiece.
Live music from Bingo Harry at 1pm
Very excited about this week’s live act! A songwriter who uses choral guitar sounds and bass grooves to create dreamy and original music, Bingo Harry makes full use of synthesiser, loop pedal and drum machine to make sonic magic. Currently completing his debut record on Tiny Global with a four piece band, they will be performing a string of shows in the UK and Europe over the course of the year. Bee Design Workshop with The Owl and the Coconut CIC – 10am to 4pm
Have you heard? As part of the huge Bee in the City public art project, Levenshulme is getting its very own bee sculpture! The Owl and the Coconut CIC, a local social enterprise based in arts and music venue Levenshulme Old Library, are running the project to design a giant bee to be installed right in the heart of the ‘village’.
The Bee arrives as a blank canvas, and what goes on to the Levenshulme Bee is for you to decide! What do you love about Levenshulme? What makes you proud to live in Levenshulme? Come along to the workshop at the market from 10am-4pm and put your creative stamp on the process!
