It’s the last Levy Market of the decade! Join us for our great big Christmas Party Market on Friday 20th December 2019, 5-9pm, on the Levenshulme train station car park, M19 3AB.
And that’s it – the end of another whole year of Levy Market! Our final night market of the year – and of the 2010’s – is a great big Levy Christmas knees up, where we invite you to drink, dance, be merry and say farewell to smelly old work and hello to wonderful, wonderful Christmas.
We’ll have carols from the SHE Choir, a unique twist on some well-known festive tunes from kora wiz John Hincock and your final chance to get involved in our fun Three Minute Portraits project, in which a series of local artists sketch portraits for our customers. This week we’re joined by Emma Reynolds, Nell Smith and Gemma Parker who’ll be ready and waiting to sketch you or your partner, your kids or your canine. They’re the perfect Christmas gift, and a ruddy bargain at just £3 a sketch.
Last month we put a call out for homeless donations at our Kindness Market and were blown away by the sheer amount of items we received. So once again we’re asking for donations to Mustard Tree, a charity which supports those in Manchester who are in homelessness and poverty, a pressing issue all the year round but particularly over the Christmas period. There’ll be incredible street food from the likes of Fritto, Little Yeti, The Ottomen and a whole load of others, a bumper winter-warmer offering from our Market Bar and all the beautiful, locally-made Christmas cards and gifts you need for your loves ones. So, come and share some the festive community market spirit by grabbing a flagon of wassail and a mince pie samosa and simply have a wonderful Chrismastime at Levy Market.
