The Christmas Party Night Market – donations wanted!

It’s our Christmas Party Night Market this Friday and we’ll be collecting donations for Mustard Tree, a charity which works hard to support people in homelessness and poverty in Manchester.

There are currently 5,564 homeless people in Greater Manchester, which is also considered to be an eviction and repossession hotspot. According to housing charity Crisis, at least 135,000 children in Britain will be homeless on Christmas day – the highest number for 12 years – including one in 47 of children across Manchester.

So let’s all do what we can to help. See below for the full list of items we’re looking to collect. There is also a particular need at the moment for the following things:

• Thermals/body warmers
• New/unused underwear (particularly men’s)
• New/unused disposable razors and shaving foam
• Light walking boots
• Male roll-on deodorant

Perhaps you’ve been having trouble sleeping, plagued by doubts about that stick of Old Spice you’ve bought your lovely grandad for Christmas. If so, here it is – your opportunity to ditch it at our collection point so you can splash out on a beautiful, locally made gift while knowing that deodorant is being put to good use and finally sleep easy.
