Last week’s market – the first of the year for us – was LOVELY. But this weekend’s is going to EVEN BETTER.
First of all, we’re very excited to welcome the soon-to-open Station South back to the market who will once again be with us all day offering free bike repairs. They joined us last summer for a run of repair sessions which were an absolute smash hit – so if you’ve a bike in need of repair for this coming spring, we’d recommend heading to the market early to avoid disappointment.
Secondly, we’re very excited that tomorrow’s market will be soundtracked by Dipped in Gold, a local Levy-based DIY record label who have released music from artists such as Heavy Sala, Grotbags, and Loose Articles, among others. You’ll be able to buy all their releases at the market as well as a range of merch. You can also hear their music – Dipped in Gold will be staging a playlist takeover, playing tunes from artists on their roster for the duration of the market.
What to eat while you’re waiting for your bike to be fixed and enjoying the vibes? Top Tapas headed up from London to join our Christmas markets and loved it so much they’re returning with their incredible paella. You’ll also find Chiit Chaat serving up some incredible Indian street food, vegan Mauritian wraps and rice boxes from MCStreetfood, and Neapolitan style pizzas from Happy Place Pizza,
You’ll also find ice cream from Exclusive Scoop, artisan doughnuts from GlazedMCR and a world of vegan baked goodies from The Bee Kind Bakery.
Alongside all of this, you’ll also find ceramics from Chorlton Potter, knitwear from Knit Yours, *guitars* from Rigby Guitars and a world of lovely stuff from You Can Lead a Horse to Water.
We also have two brand new traders with items for those very important babies – Darcy Spring who’ll be bringing with them an incredible range of handmade baby clothes and accessories, and Martha Oh My with their beautiful products for feeding, weaning and playing with your littlest ones.
We’ll also have cheese, butter and eggs from Winter Tarn Dairy, pies, pasties and sausage rolls from HMPasties and Italian wine on tap from Vinobuono.
