Market Manager
Hours: 22.5 hours p/w (flexible hours and remote working)
Pay: £12/£13 per hour
We’re looking for a Market Manager to join our thriving social enterprise, an award-winning community-run market in the heart of Levenshulme.
The role
This is an unique opportunity to take the reins and oversee the efficient running of one of Manchester’s most successful markets. You’ll be designing each week’s markets, deciding on everything from trader line-ups and entertainment through to residencies and neighbourhood projects. You’ll also handle communications and marketing across a number of platforms, acting as the voice for a community social enterprise. This is a varied, challenging and rewarding role, so we’re looking for someone who is resourceful, adaptable and with a high level of self-organisation.
About us
You’ll be joining a small, motivated team of operational staff and volunteer directors, sharing our passion for the very special thing we’ve created here in Levenshulme.
Levenshulme Market CIC is an award-winning social enterprise. We deliver a high quality artisan and food market each weekend during March and December, including our popular monthly night markets and during term-time, a weekly pop-up market at The University of Manchester. We also create a valuable social space for our customers, support local organisations and use our profits to invest back into our community. We are the only market to have been shortlisted twice for the BBC Food Awards and were crowned Best Outdoor Market at the Great British Market Awards in 2020.
