Saturday 31st October – Levy Market Shop & Go – All the Stalls

All the details for our award-winning market in Levenshulme on Saturday 31st October, 10am to 4pm. Find us on the Levenshulme train station car park, M19 3AB.

Great news: we have another Shop & Go Market taking place this Saturday here in Levenshulme.

Or should we say: we have a-smother Chop & Glow Dark-et staking place this Baturday fear in Living-Dead-enshulme.

That’s right! It’s Halloween, the season of ghosts, ghouls and the fabled sharknado. And while partying and trick-or-treating are all understandably cancelled this year, that’s all the more reason to head on down to your friendly local market and go heavy on the ‘treat’ by picking up something nice for yourself.

We’ll have some food traders ready and waiting to luxurify your lantern-lit lockdown lunchtime, including Himalayan momos from The Little Yeti, pizza from Cibus, BBQ-ed sandwiches from BBQ events and loads more for you to take home.

We’ll also have brownies from Lush Brownies, hefty choc-slabs from Cocoa-Nut Grove, and ice-cream from the mighty Ginger’s Comfort Emporium, currently wowing regulars with their limited run of autumnal flavours.

You’ll also find a host of brand new shopping picks for you: handmade and vintage clothing from Vanisha’s Design Boutique and EsmeAndTheEye, cards and artwork from The Magic Frog and handmade children’s clothing and homewares from The Gingham Flamingo. And You Can Lead a Horse to Water are back with us: based in a Peak District farm they use the byproducts from their bees, sheep and poultry to create a range of stunning gifts: wool plant pots, beeswax candles and more. PERFECT for Christmas.

And, as ever, you can also get a big chunk of your weekly shopping done, with meat from Savin Hill Farm and Butchery, natural soap, skincare and more from Forever Planet, jam from The Jam Kitchen, honey from Haughton Honey, tea from Tiger Tea, eggs and butter from Winter Tarn Dairy, sauces and seasonings from DevilDog Sauces, and savoury rolls aplenty from The Cheshire Bakehouse.

And remember: all throughout October we’ve been taking donations at every market for Every Month, a charity which does stellar work putting together period packs for those in poverty in Greater Manchester. So this is your last chance to bring along your donations. We’re after menstrual pads, non-applicator tampons, applicator tampons and other disposable tampons/pads/liners. These will then be included in period packs that will then be distributed around Greater Manchester where they are needed. As we had to cancel last week’s market, we’re really hoping our customers can go hell for leather on the generosity in this final week. So please, bring what you can. You can find all the info you need here.

And REMEMBER: Levy Market is currently operating as Levenshulme Market Shop & Go. That means no eating or drinking at the market, as well as no socialising. Instead, we ask that you support all your favourite Levy Market traders by making your purchases and heading off to enjoy them in the safety of you own home. You can find out more info here.

Please remember to follow our guidance to make sure you and everyone else stays safe.
