Saturday 14th July – Levenshulme – All The Stalls

Our next market in Levenshulme takes place on Saturday 14th July 2018, 10am to 4pm. Find us on the Levenshulme train station car park, M19 3AB.

Now then, kids. You are in for a real treat at this market, our second in July, because Nature Explorers is back again!

We’re delighted to have them back again a little earlier in the month than usual, as we love their interactive nature-themed play and activity sessions. It’s just £1 to join in, and you can pop by any time while the market is open. Get stuck in!

Live music from Tom Blackwell

We’re also very lucky to have  incredible musician Tom Blackwell coming all the way from that there London to perform live for us at the market.

Performing on both coasts and across the Deep South, Blackwell has seized every opportunity to hone his craft, soaking up the tradition and building an audience in the birthplace of his musical heroes.

Inevitably settling in Nashville, Tennessee, Blackwell began the album that would become Tyrone the Gun. On this work, described by Bob Harris from BBC Radio 2 as “Wonderful, heartfelt music,” Blackwell revels in an expansive and unabashed summoning of ghosts of Americana past, while lyrical preoccupations of love and loss are delivered with a colloquial wit that will be familiar to all back home. His road-hardened confidence and unmistakable soaring voice pull it together, assisted by Nashville musicians steeped in their city’s rich heritage.

Catch Tom Blackwell live at 1pm!
