We are super excited to be able to announce that this Saturday – and for every Saturday in July and August – Levy Market is getting even more atmospheric (if such a thing were even possible) – Oxjam Manchester will be taking up residency at the Market and bringing us a whole host of bands and acts to entertain you as you shop, munch and sup!
Oxjam is the annual charity music festival, run entirely by volunteers, raising money by working with local musicians and businesses to make global change. In 2013, Oxjam Manchester raised a record breaking amount for the North West, totalling over £6,500 in funds for the vital work undertaken by Oxfam to make poverty history. This year, Oxjam Manchester has high ambitions to beat the national fundraising record with a series of music and community events in the build up to the Oxjam Manchester Takeover in October.
The Oxjam team will have their very own stage in our covered seating area – meaning they’ll never get rained off and you can sit in comfort as you enjoy the eclectic range of tunes on offer. We will be releasing the lineup of artists every week and their performance times before each market, and there will be Oxjam volunteers on hand every week to let you know more about the festival and how you can get involved.
