This weekend we’re thrilled to bring our shoppers a Christmas mixtape curated by none other than Marc Riley/
You can listen while you browse or while at home and enjoy a mix which incorporates both indie gems like Billy Childish and Shonen Knife and big Christmas bangers like The Waitresses and – of course! – Mariah.
Marc Riley is a former member of The Fall and a radio DJ. Formerly, the Lard-half of the almost-infamous Mark and Lard, he is best known for his Sony Radio Academy Award-nominated show on 6 Music.

We’re also asking people to donate to Lifeshare this Christmas. Manchester’s oldest homelessness charity, Lifeshare provides practical assistance, support and information for those experiencing homelessness and has this year been selected to join the Big Give Christmas Challenge, meaning all donations made this weekend are doubled.
So if you enjoy Marc’s music selection and our market this Christmas, please give whatever you can.
Art: Three Minute Portraits
11.00-3.00pm
Over all three of our December markets we’ll be hosting a series of local artists who will be sketching lighting quick minute portraits for our customers.
This week we’ll have the brilliant Gemma Parker and Emma Reynolds with us creating bespoke sketches of yourself, your partner or even your pooch – they’re perfect little Christmas presents and an absolute steal at £3 a pop.

12-1pm
Best known for running The Flyest disco nights at The Klondyke, Janine Brown will be breaking out some soul, funk, hip hop and some festive bangers to gets you moving.
