Following on from the government’s recent ‘roadmap’ announcement we have had to revise our planned re-opening.
We are now planning to re-open on Saturday 17th April.
Following Lockdown 1, outdoor markets were one of the first things to be re-opened, with the risk of transmission being considered significantly lower than that in indoors retail settings. So we had anticipated something similar happening this time round, however it appears outdoor markets are instead to be included in all non-essential retail which will be permitted to open no earlier than 12th April.
So Saturday 17th April it is 🥳
And, when we do return, we plan to resume our ‘shop & go’ market model. Later in the year, once it’s permitted and feels safe for us to do so, we hope to be able to return to our regular markets and – eventually, hopefully – we’ll then be in a position to resume our monthly night markets once we’re 100% sure there’s no risk to the community.
