FRIDAY 19th December – Christmas food spectacular

**Our FINAL market of 2014 will be a Christmas food and drink special (with some last minute gifts thrown in for the less organised!) – taking place on FRIDAY – 4.00pm-9.00pm on the train station car park **

Well what a year it’s been – 9 months ago we set out on our great weekly adventure and – now we can tell you – we may not’ve been as confident as we looked! But the gamble paid off and we are immensely happy with what we have acheived this year and looking forward to sharing some more exciting developments with you very soon. and to close our awesome year, what better way to celebrate than with a good old foodie knees up with nearly 40 traders selling seasonal goodies – from organic Cumbian cheese, eggs and hand churned butter from Winter Tarn Farm (suppliers to Simon Rogan’s L’Enclume) to hand selected wines and Champagnes from Case Solved Wines. Among the other goods on sale, shoppers will be able to pick up speciality Christmas sausages from award-winners Bobby’s Bangers, vegetarian and vegan pates, bread from Trove, Levenshulme’s own award winning café and bakery, game and speciality meats and – of course – a sumptuous selection of mince pies, chocolates, Christmas cakes and puddings.

As you would expect of our night time events the seasonal cheer will be in full flow, courtesy of the real ale bar and large covered seating area provided by Those Four Mobile Bar and shoppers will be kept in the Christmas spirit, with mulled wine from Case solved wines, mulled cider form Hyder cider and other seasonal warmers flowing from market favourite The Buttery, who will be dishing out traditional wassail and smoking bishops (warm port, infused with burnt orange and clove). There will also be plenty of hot food on sale from speciality street food vendors including market favourites Mio Pizza and 4Lunch. Entertainment will be provided throughout with children’s face painting and badge making from 4.00pm, carols from local choirs and music from local bands and DJs taking us through into the night! AND we have last minute gifts, gift wrapping and cards on sale – all you need to finish the Christmas slog and let the good times begin!

So read on – for listings of all the traders and what they’ll have on offer for the big night and keep an eye out for news of entertainment, fun and other surprises we have in store!
