Join the team of traders and residents behind the newly formed Levenshulme Market Ltd – a social enterprise formed to keep the market running in Levenshulme while using the profits to help residents establish or grow their retail skills – to find out about the NEW market on Saturday 23rd February.
During the day time (12-4) we will be on the village green, with information about how to trade, how to set up a stall and other ways to get involved, as well as gathering information from the community on how we can make sure the market provides something for everyone. Some of our established traders will be on hand to discuss their experience and (crucially!) give out FREE samples of their goodies – including fresh bread, seed bombs, cheese, cake and chutneys!
Then in the evening (5-7) we will be hosting a gathering for residents or traders (current or future) who are interested in volunteering or hearing in more detail about the plans for the new market, what it aims to do and how they can get involved – at the Klondyke on Burnage Range. The bar will be open and a FREE BUFFET will be provided by Crushed Spices – a local social enterprise supporting women in the Asian community who are victims of domestic violence by teaching them skills in catering.
We would love to see you at either (or both!) event – there’s no need to book any tickets, you can just show up, although you will make us even happier if you accept the event Facebook and share it to your friends – Levenshulme and non-Levenshulme alike! We look forward to seeing you on 23rd!
The Directors – Levenshulme Market Ltd
