Halloween Night Market Party – this Friday!

WhooOOOOooooo and BOO! (read this out loud in a silly voice, it’s fun!)…it’s our Halloween Night Market Party!

It’s safe to say that we at Levenshulme Market HQ have gone proper Halloween bonkers this year, with a spooktacular night market with all the trimmings. It’s all happening on Friday 30th October 2015, 4pm to 9pm, on the Levenshulme train station car park. Please note that there will be NO SATURDAY MARKET the day after.

It’s a street food special, with an absolute feast laid out on our stalls. Choose from Jian Bing Chinese crepes, Indonesian satay, wild game burgers, traditional British pies, Polish dumplings, glazed chicken, spicy Burmese curries, salt beef bagels and wood-fired pizza. For pud, our traders will be scaring up some indulgent chocolate brownies, Dutch pancakes and Belgian waffles.

The ghostly quartet at Those Four Ltd will be slinging some pints of real ale, craft beer and some spooky specials, while we enjoy live music from Levy locals Cosmic Ray & the Constellations. They’ll be bringing their own brand of toe-tapping rockabilly from 7pm, plus a few classic Halloween covers (Monster Mash, anyone?)

Dress up to win a prize!

We’re on a mission to get the whole of Levenshulme covered in fake blood and scaring the pants off our stallholders, and there’s an extra incentive to dress up. We’ll be giving away £20 in vouchers to spend at the market for the best adult Halloween costume, and two copies of local artist Paul Magrs‘ new ‘Lovely Levy Colouring Book’ for the best kids costumes. We’ll be announcing the winners at 6.30pm, so make sure you’re in costume and ready to give us a twirl then.

Levy Market Pumpkins 1

Plus, if you bring along an expertly carved Halloween pumpkin, you could win an extra £20 in market vouchers – yippee! For a sneak peek of all the creepy goings-on next Friday, join our Facebook events page here.
